POLICE have urged pedestrians to wear bright clothing during the darker hours after a teenage boy was hit by a car in Worcester yesterday afternoon.
The boy, thought to be aged 13, was hit by a silver Peugeot in Lansdowne Road at about 4.30pm on November 26.
The teenager was treated for a head injury and a possible wrist fracture and was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital where his condition is not thought to be serious.
A police spokesman said the boy was wearing black clothing at the time and it was believed the driver, a 34-year-old man, did not spot him.
βIn light of this collision, police urge road users to wear bright clothing in the dark so they can be seen by others,β she said.
The road was blocked for some time while police and paramedics dealt with the crash.
The driver of the Peugeot was not arrested following the crash.
