HIGH energy and all the hits will be on show when a Duran Duran tribute band play Bromsgrove next month.

Duran will play the Artrix on Friday, March 6, and vocalist Gwyn Evans says fans can expect a lot of what they like.

"We will be playing all the hits including Girls on Film, Hungry Like the Wolf, Rio, The Reflex, Wild Boys, Ordinary World and View to a Kill, in a high-energy show," he said.

"The band is midlands based — drummer Cal is from Stourbridge, synth-player Darran is from Sheffield and our bass player Mark is from Wolverhampton. I live in North-West London now but I travel back frequently as we rehearse in Selly Oak.

"We have already sold over 130 tickets to the gig and it is going to be a good night. We played at the Roadhouse in Birmingham a few weeks ago to a packed house of nearly 200 people, and have various gigs lined up in and around the Midlands over the coming year. We have very carefully recreated the synths, guitars and grooves of the original band, and we use much of the same gear.

Tickets to the show — which starts at 8pm — cost £15 and can be bought by calling 01527 577330 or visiting www.artrix.co.uk.
