THEY may not have won the main prize but Worcester dance partners proved they had all the right moves to raise money for Acorns Children's Hospice.
Taking to the floor at the Keep Dancing for Acorns fundraiser was Richard Brown, from Claines, and dance partner Sue Cox who performed a routine set to We Go Together from the musical Grease.
The pair contributed to an estimated £6,000 that was raised during the glitzy evening at the Great Hall at Birmingham.
The 34-year-old said: “There were a few nerves just before we went on but once we started dancing it was fine.
"It was a real pleasure to be able to perform in front of so many people including friends and family.
"We may not have won the prize but the main thing was stepping out, having a good time and helping to raise money for Acorns.”
Laura Heathfield, events manager at Acorns, said: “This was a fantastic night of entertainment and huge thanks to the participants who worked incredibly hard on their routines. "The audience were treated to some top-notch moves and they really got into the spirit of the night cheering on their favourites."
The eventual winner was 12-year-old Poppy Briarty from West Heath in Birmingham.
