A TEENAGER was seriously hurt after coming off his motorbike near Broadway on Tuesday morning.

The 18-year-old was driving in Collin Lane, Willersey, towards Broadway at about 10.30am on May 4 when he lost control of his bike close to the railway bridge.

He was taken to Birmingham’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

Police said it was unclear why he lost control of his bike, a red Sym Symply 125cc, as the road was dry, but it was very windy at the time.

Gloucestershire Police has said officers would like to speak to anyone who witnesses the crash, was in the area at the time or may have footage of the incident recorded by an in-car camera.

Anyone with any information can call Gloucestershire Police on 101 quoting incident 161-050515.
