POLICE continue to hunt the man suspected of a robbery against a vulnerable man from Kidderminster.

West Mercia Police are issuing a renewed appeal for witnesses, nearly a week, after a vulnerable adult was the victim of a robbery in Kidderminster.

The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Thursday, April 30 in New Road, near to the underpass by Asda.

The victim, a vulnerable young man in his 20s with autism was approached by a man who demanded money from him.

The victim refused and the man snatched his wallet and bus pass from him, causing a slight injury to his hand.

The man then left via the underpass in the direction of the bus station.

The suspect was described as black and wearing a dark body warmer style top with no sleeves, a white t-shirt and dark bottoms.

DS Martin Grant of Kidderminster CID said: "Some people in Kidderminster will know the identity of this man.

"I am appealing to those people to come forward, anonymously if necessary, to provide the name of this suspect.

"This suspect deliberately bullied and targeted a vulnerable, autistic young man and robbed him of his wallet in broad daylight.

"This caused this poor young man to become very distressed and undoubtedly will have knock-on effects in terms of his emotional well-being."
