A GROUP of fundraisers in Worcester raised £1,500 with a charity golf day.
The Independent Fundraisers hosted the event at Ombersley Golf Club on May 8.
The 18 hole competition saw ten teams go head to head, and people could also take part in a raffle.
The main sponsors, Westlands Hyundai Worcester, provided a challenge trophy for the best individual.
The event raised funds for the West Midlands Search and Rescue.
Neil Smith, chairman of Independent Fundraisers, said: "The search and rescue group pay for their own kit, their fuel, their equipment and their training. When not involved in a "shout" they can be found fundraising, giving talks to schools or attending further training".
He went on to say "Independent Fundraisers of Worcester are proud to be associated with WMSAR and would like to thank all of the supporters of the Golf Day in helping to raise £1500 for these everyday heroes"
