TASTY treats were in plentiful supply at Worcester's Horizon Community Centre when the Muslim community held its annual Eid party this week to celebrate the end of Ramadan.

Worcester mayor Councillor Roger Knight and mayoress Freda Knight were among the invited guests on Wednesday to help celebrate the close of the month-long fast.

"It was a super party with bouncy castles for the children to play on and lots of people chatting and enjoying themselves. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. Volunteers had done all the cooking and some brought even more food in with them so there was plenty to eat and it was very good, " he said.

"It was a true social event and it wasn't long before the hall was completely filled. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thank the community very much for inviting me along to share it with them."
