VISITORS to the upcoming Worcester Festival can see out the event in style onboard a river cruise.

People can watch the closing fireworks from the cruise along the River Severn.

The festival begins on Saturday, August 15 and ends on Monday, August 31.

The cruise is organised by and raises money for St Richard's Hospice and those boarding the Pride of the Midlands can enjoy a four hour cruise before returning to see the fireworks display.

Charlie Homer, community fundraiser at St Richard’s Hospice, said; “The Worcester Festival fireworks finale raises a huge amount of money to help support hospice care each year, and we are very grateful to everyone who donates to the collections on the evening. "We thought it would be a lovely idea to offer people the opportunity to see the spectacular display from an unusual vantage point — the river. Tickets are selling fast so I would encourage anyone who would like to join us to book soon."

Tickets cost £12 per person, including a glass of sparkling wine. For more information or to book tickets, contact the hospice on 01905 763963.
