A WORCESTER butcher who presents online butchery demonstrations from a purpose build shed has created the ultimate Christmas roast and donated it to a Pershore charity.

Scott Rea, from St John's, became an internet sensation after clocking up more than seven million YouTube views through his channel, the Scott Rea Project.

His latest video shows him with a three-bird roast he created using a turkey, duck and chicken, and which he aptly named, a turducken.

It is made by carefully taking out the skeleton of the birds, leaving the meat and the wings and the legs intact. The chicken is then stuffed inside the duck which is then stuffed inside the turkey, complete with layers of savoury stuffing.

He presented the 18lb 'bird' online stating: "To the good people of Worcester. Here we have one turducken; free to a worthy cause. I made this turducken for a Thanksgiving/Christmas special on my channel and in the spirit of giving thanks and the season I would like to give this away to charity. If any of you know a worthy cause, be it a community centre, a homeless centre, community group, church group, please get in touch."

The offer of the 18lb treat was snapped up by Laura Synnuck, volunteer development manager at Pershore Volunteer Centre, explaining that they had organised an afternoon tea as an early Christmas treat for the elderly people in the community who are socially isolated.

Mr Rea said he was delighted for it to go to such a worthy cause. "I couldn't be happier. It's a fantastic end to an epic video, and going to a fabulous cause,," he said.

Miss Synnuck collected the 18lb roast from Mr Rea, and Abbey Butchers, in Pershore offered to cook it and slice it for her. It has now been frozen ready for it to be served at the centre's community tea on Sunday, December 6.

"We are so grateful to Mr Rea for his generous donation. It has helped us so much. We have had some funding from Asda in Pershore but 60 people are a lot to feed. This will help so much. We are also grateful to the Pershore butchers for cooking it for us and professionally slicing it."

The meat will be served in sandwiches as an early Christmas tea, along with cakes and scones. There will also be choral entertainment,
