THE cause of death of an Evesham woman found dead at her home in Rowlands Court remains unknown.
Police were called to the flat in Bewdley Street on Friday April 15 to reports of a woman in cardiac arrest at the property.
Julie Hitch, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her partner, Mark Pearce, 51, was charged with her murder on April 17. He appeared before magistrates in Worcester the following day and at Worcester Crown Court on April 19.
He is due to appear again at Worcester Crown Court in relation to the allegation on July 18. A psychiatric report has been requested.
An inquest into the death of Ms Hitch was opened and adjourned yesterday, April 28.
A post-mortem examination has been carried out but the case details supplied by the Worcestershire Coroner's Office state the precise medical cause of death has not yet been determined.
