THROCKMORTON Air Show will be presenting its 9th Show with a raft of aviation displays to admire, plus two special aircraft surprises which are not being announced until the day.

The show is expected to attract many thousands of people and they are reminded that tickets are not available on the gate, but bought online.

Some of the attractions on Saturday June 11 include displays from RAF Eurofighter Typhoon, RAF BBMF spitfire and Hurricane and the Jet Provost Pairs display.

Also making an appearance will be: Team Raven (5 RV8’s) , CAP 10, Chipmunk, RAF Falcons, Pitts Special, Piston Provost, Auster, Cap 10, Chipmunk, Air wolf and RAF Chinook.

This year the show is raising funds for two chosen charities: the Midlands Air Ambulance and the Royal Airforce Benevolent fund. The show is the largest outdoor event in Worcestershire.

“Throckmorton Air Show is a fantastic day out, and this year promises to be the best yet. As a fully-ticketed event, we anticipate that the show will sell out, so make sure you buy your tickets early to avoid disappointment," said show organiser Sam Jones.

The show is geared toward the family and attractions include tank rides, go-karting, under 17s driving, helicopter pleasure flights, face painting, stalls, crafts, shooting, dancing and more.

Refreshments will be available.

This year the show has a brand new traffic management system in place and a company to manage car parking. You are advised to leave plenty of time to get to the event.

Gates open at 10:30am with the first flying display at 12:30pm. The final display is at 4.30pm.
