YOUNGSTERS at Ombersley Endowed First School and Nursery are preparing for a right royal celebration at the school’s annual summer fair.

Visitors will enjoy a whole host of activities including a royal treasure hunt, a royal themed fancy dress competition and a tastiest Victoria sponge and cupcake competition at the fair organised by the Friends of Ombersley School.

There will also be a parents’ tug o’war, tombolas, a coconut shy and hook-a-duck, as well as pony rides, face-painting and maypole dancing by year 3 and 4 children between 12 - 3pm on Saturday, July 2.

The local police dog will also be paying a visit and there will be a range of refreshments available throughout the afternoon including a bar, samosas, spring rolls, cream teas, ice-creams and a BBQ.

Entry is £1 for adults and free for children.

The adult entry fee includes a lucky programme, offering the chance to be entered into a prize draw.

Headteacher Caroline Moore said: "Our Summer Fair is always a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

"It’s a lovely way to mingle and have fun with other friends and families and raises much needed funds for our school.

"We hope you will be able to join us.”
