THE Fladbury Walkabout this year might well have visitors believing in fairytales.

Last year, there were scarecrows and reptiles, but this year the occupants of the fairy world are set to invade, although snakes and lizards will remain a popular attraction too.

A spokesman said: "In addition to 25 gardens and a myriad of other attractions for visitors to explore and enjoy, central to this year’s Fladbury Walkabout will be a stunning flower festival featuring displays on a fairytale theme.

"From the Brothers Grimm to the Mad Hatter, the village church will host arrangements depicting all your favourite characters."

This year's Walkabout will take place between 11am and 5pm on Saturday July 9 and Sunday July 10.

The spokesman added: "The Walkabout has always been a magnet for visitors wishing to experience the hidden treasures of this picturesque and welcoming riverside village.

"The village gardens have traditionally proved to be a huge draw for the many visitors but this year will also see a fun dog show along with live music, market stalls, classic cars, circus skills, boat trips, scary reptiles and much more – literally something for everyone."

Food and refreshments will be available in the village hall and at the community's two pubs.
