WORCESTER Swimming Pool is organising a team of local women to take part in the Worcester Race for Life on Sunday, July 17, in support of Cancer Research UK.
Any women aged 13 and above are eligible to sign up and take part. They will be asked to create a JustGiving page with all of the individual proceeds going towards the team total.
Freedom Leisure, which runs the pool at Sansome Walk, will also be leading the warm up and providing activities on the day, as well as offering the chance for people to win free gym passes.
"Race for Life is such a fantastic event and Freedom Leisure is really proud to be involved," said centre manager,James Chaplin. "Anyone is welcome to join our team, whether they want to walk or run. Five km is a manageable distance to train for, and a great way to improve your health and wellbeing. We are happy to provide our team members with advice as they prepare to complete the distance."
