ELLIOT Downes from Royal Grammar School Worcester, was a finalist in the 17-19 years old category in the Manufacturing Technology Association’s (MTA) national Technology, Design and Innovation (TDI) Challenge 2014.
The challenge helps teachers and lecturers promote their Design & Technology and Engineering students and celebrates creativity and innovation.
Elliot attended the finals day on Wednesday, July 6 at the Yamazaki Mazak European Headquarters in Worcester.
There he displayed his portfolio of work in Mazak's atrium and presented his lorry wheel removal device to the judging panel.
