GOLFERS from Droitwich have raised nearly £1,000 for a charity which supports people with Alzheimer's disease.
Over the past few months, the seniors section of Droitwich Golf Club have held several raffles to raise £937 for the charity Alzheimer's Society.
At a charity event held at the club on Sunday, September 18, a cheque was presented to Sharon Butler, lady captain and Keith Wilkinson, club captain, by Clive Johnson, seniors captain.
Mr Johnson said: "I am pleased and proud that the seniors have raised such an amount for what is a very worthwhile cause."
Mr Wilkinson said: "The lady captain and I thank the seniors section most sincerely for raising this money. We are both absolutely delighted as it will help make a real difference to peoples’ lives."
