CHRISTMAS puddings, snowflakes or Rudolph the red nose reindeer - a charity is asking people to wear their most festive Christmas jumpers in exchange for a donation.

Forty one schools, businesses and playgroups have already signed up to take part in Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust's Christmas Jumper Day.

They will be changing from their school uniforms or work attire into festive wear on or around the official day Friday, December 16.

Jen Kelly, whose late four-year-old daughter inspired the charity, said: "A huge thank you to Crowle preschool and Crowle toddler group who are wearing their Christmas jumpers for Grace.

"Wednesday was the Crowle toddlers event and next week Crowle preschool will be wearing their jumpers all week.

"This is of special significance as it is Crowle preschool that Grace went to.

"She loved it so much, and they really helped her flourish, and are still showing their kindness and support now. "Thank you so much to everyone that been getting involved.

"We now have an incredible 44 separate Christmas jumper events taking place so it really is going to wonderful.

"100 per cent of the funds raised go the the Grace Kelly Ladybird Trust for childhood cancer research and awareness. "This I know is what Grace would have wanted."
