ARMY medals have been stolen after a burglary in Stourport-on-Severn.

The medals were taken from a house in the Bigbury area of Upper Mittion at around 10.50am on Tuesday January 10.

The medals taken included a long service and good conduct medal, an accumulated service medal, a Golden Jubilee medal, a former Yugoslavia medal, a Northern Ireland medal and a British empire medal gathered over 37 years service.

A yellow metal Rotary wrist watch with a brown strap and other items of jewellery were also believed to have been taken.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident or who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time.

They are also keen for anyone who is offered medals for sale to come forward.
