THIEVES smashed a shop window before using buckets to carry away packets of stolen cigarettes.

The Co-op, in Worcester Road, Malvern, was broken into between 2.20am and 2.32am on Saturday, January 21.

Offenders smashed a side window and a panel in the main foyer of the shop before stealing cigarettes from a cabinet.

The thieves then used buckets from the plant display by the front door to carry them out.

A spokesman for the Co-op, said: "There was an incident at our Worcester Road, Malvern, store in the early hours of Saturday, January 21, when a window was broken and a quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

"The police are investigating and we appeal for anyone who may have seen anything, or who has any information, to come forward to the police or to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
