TICKETS for this year's Malvern Munch food walk on the late spring bank holiday weekend are going fast, organisers have warned.

The event, on Sunday, May 28, is a seven-mile walk over and around the Malvern Hills that offers participants the chance to taste great local food and drink whilst listening to live music at stops along the way.

Nicola Rawlings of Malvern Hills District Council, said: " Last years walk was very popular and sold out in days so early booking is advised. There are four groups and one has sold out already."

This year's Malvern Munch starts with breakfast in the grounds of Great Malvern Priory, with stops that include Cafe H2O at Upper Colwall and the Elim College in West Malvern, before finishing in Rose Bank Gardens with cheese and drinks.

Music will be provided by Upton Young Jazz at various places along the way and local firms supplying food and drink include Ruby’s Fudge, Croome Cuisine, the Friday Beer Company and more.

Tickets are £25 for adults and £15 for children, available from the Tourist Information Centre in Church Street, Great Malvern.

And Bank Holiday Monday, May, 28, brings the Great Malvern Food Festival, taking place in the grounds of the Priory and around the town centre from 10am to 5.30pm.

Organiser promise over 60 stalls selling locally-produced food, drink and crafts, plus the BBC Cooking Food Theatre will be there, providing demonstrations, talks and displays.

There is also a full programme of entertainment including the ever-popular Mr Doo and the Rock Choir, plus buskers and street theatre.

Last year's event drew around 5,000 visitors, making it the biggest and most successful event in the series yet.
