TREES at Blackmore Park on the edge of Malvern can be pruned, district councillors have ruled.
The oak and lime trees lining an access road off the B4208 Blackmore Park Road are protected by a Tree Preservation order, meaning special permission is needed to carry out work on them.
At a meeting ion Wednesday, members of Malvern Hills District Council's southern area planning committee heard that two oaks and three elms needed trimming for safety reasons.
Members voted unanimously for the work to go ahead.
