A WOMAN who lost 13 stone in less than a year wants to try and inspire others to be healthy.

Donna Goodall dropped ten dress sizes to reach her target weight of nine stones within 11 months. She previously weighed 22 stone.

She decided to lose the weight in September 2016 because she felt uncomfortable with her lifestyle.

The 5ft tall, 50-year-old said: “I have a happy GP and for the first time in my life, a healthy BMI.”

She said that she feels “amazing” after achieving her target weight.

She added: “I feel like a different person.

"I have the confidence to do things I didn’t think I could do.

"I’m thrilled. But it’s not just about that. If just one person who is in the same position I was, hears and decides to change it’ll be so worth it.

"Take heart, because you can do it."

"It’s something I will never ever regret doing."

Following 11 months of what she describes as "a lifestyle change", Mrs Goodall is now a dress size 12.

Mrs Goodall said that she embarked on her journey because she felt that she couldn’t live the life she wanted.

She said: “I got up one morning and decided to change.

"It wasn’t just a diet or exercise, it was a complete change in the way I lived life.

"My husband Phil came home from work and I told him we were doing this. We had such an unhealthy lifestyle."

The couple found the run up to Christmas challenging.

She said: "It felt like the whole world was talking about food. We just banned it from the house.

"We let ourselves have a normal Christmas Day but then we’d start again."

Mrs Goodall and husband Phil joined David Lloyd, a gym club in Worcester, on Boxing Day to help them achieve their goals.

Mrs Goodall said: "I had lost five stone on my own by sticking to 1,000 calories a day.

"But I wouldn’t have been able to do it without David Lloyd. I had a personal trainer, Alex McLeod and he helped along with Jamie and Luke.

"I nicknamed them the three musketeers. They were exceptional."

"They did it together and they put up with me, helping with mentoring and coaching.

"I lost seven stone in seven months. It needs to be said that I couldn’t have done it without their help.”

Mrs Goodall said she wanted to thank all those who supported her, especially those at David Lloyd.
