Facebook has been both a blessing and a curse for reporters,(ignoring all of that Fake News, Russian Bots business). It's a good way to find out information, but it's a bit of a minefield around copyright and privacy and all that.

So it wouldn't be right of me to show you the profile picture on the account of a VERY senior member of Worcester City Council. But let me describe it, using such words as 'pert', 'firm' and 'globular' for the, ahem, rear view of a man in a state of deshabille. (It's okay, he's got his pants on. But that's it.)

There was some minor point-scoring between councillors at Tuesday's council meeting (plus ca change) but the upshot of it was: wheelie bins are the property of Worcester City Council, which has a statutory duty to collect your rubbish. But you are only allowed to put a house number or name on them and MUST NOT decorate them in any other way.

So to summarise: The council must collect your rubbish, so you need to look after its bins for it, but don't dare to decorate them, because they are the council's property. Which you are storing. Perhaps we should start charging.

Some political journeys are quicker than others. In June 2016 Rachel Maclean, then a private citizen, voted to remain in the EU. Now the MP for Redditch, Rachel is one of the 62 signatories of the European Research Group's letter to Theresa May, appending her monicker next to Jacob Rees- Mogg, Peter Bone and John Redwood. Twenty months ago Rachel wanted to stay in the whole thing, now she wants us out of the EU, the single market and the customs union - the hardest of hard Brexits.

I am assured by the chairman of Worcester UKIP that the party's 2017 general election candidate Paul Hickling remains a member. I have no reason to doubt that. I can say that on his very active Twitter page, since Monday, Mr Hickling has retweeted Conservative Central office once, and the official Conservative account five times, and UKIP not once. 'Retweets are not an endorsement' of course.

Mr Hickling won't tell me whether he's joined the Conservatives as his personal Facebook page suggests. He has another, very busy FB account called The Political Activist. Activist, yes, but for which party?
