THE latest in our popular series of youth sport pictures features a big clash at under-11 level.

It's the final of the Phillip Jeynes Memorial Cup which was played at Malvern Town Football Club.

Taking part were West Worcester Youth FC and WCT Raiders with West Worcester lifting the trophy following a 2-1 win.

West Worcester took the lead with a goal from Alfie Lambert, who also picked up the man-of-the-match award, before Raiders equalised from the penalty spot.

West Worcester hit back again, however, and took the trophy with a superb strike from Ethan Lavelle who lobbed the goalkeeper from midway between the penalty area and the halfway line.

It was a second cup success for West Worcester, whose under-10s shared the Talbot Page-Jones Memorial Shield with Kempsey Colts after a 1-1 draw.

Oscar Handbury scored the West Worcester goal with his brother Rorie Handbury collecting the man-of-the-match award.

Both games were played at Malvern in front of large and enthusiastic crowds.

Man-of-the-match awards in both finals were decided by Mercian Fortis League officials.
