A TEENAGER has appeared in court accused of possesing a firearm following an armed stand-off in Malvern.

Eighteen-year-old Adam Murray, of Bray Avenue, in Ledbury, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court this morning charged with possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, assault and criminal damage.

The charges relate to an incident last Friday, when armed police stormed a flat in Elgar Avenue after reports that a man was seen with a gun in Gloucester Close.

Murray was arrested in Wells Road at about 5pm on Wednesday in connection with the incident.

He did not enter pleas and was remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court on Monday, November 12.
