A CYCLIST was left with head and pelvic injuries after coming off his bike.


An ambulance, rapid response car and the Strensham-based Midlands Air Ambulance all attended the scene in Dark Lane in Astley village near Stourport-on-Severn at about 2pm yesterday.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “On arrival at the scene crews found a cyclist who had come off his bike.


“The man believed to be in his 60s was treated at the scene for head, chest and pelvic injuries.”

He was immobilised and airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.
