Xtra Factor's Olly Murs pops in to Worcester to meet Gathan Cheema

POP singer and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs was at a Worcester gym to interview a city singer yesterday.
The Dance With Me Tonight singer caused a stir when he turned up with a film crew at Harpers Gym in Sansome Walk to interview singer and dancer Gathan Cheema for the ITV2 show.
Gathan - who has not even appeared on the X Factor yet - revealed on his Twitter account that he has made it to boot camp and is down to the last 23 boys.
He also told his 136 followers he will appear on the main show this Saturday and the clips filmed at the gym are expected to follow on the spin-off show afterwards.
Fitness fan Gathan, a member of Harpers since September 2011, and presenter Olly were put through their paces by Harpers’ team coach Vince McCumisky.
Steve Taylor, health and fitness manager at Harpers, said: “They spent some time working out in the gym and fitness studio whilst the film crew were recording. Our team coach put them through their paces and ensured their technique was correct throughout.”
Fans of Olly Murs were delighted to read he was in the city after the former X Factor contestant revealed he was filming in Worcester on the micro-blogging site.
He tweeted to his 2,800,000-plus followers from his account @ollyofficial : “More Xtra factor filming in the morning...this time near Worcester!!”
Gathan tweeted in reply: “looking forward to meeting you dude... kettle’s boiling!” while other fans asked him to reveal where he would be filming.
Olly, who presents Xtra Factor with Caroline Flack, was later spotted in Worcester’s Primark with two bodyguards trying to shield him from a group of about 20 screaming teenage girls.

JoJeffries wrote:i never said anything about him personally, its just i never saw him on the x factor or xra factor last saturday like its stated in the article, im sure he is doing his best but the paper should check facts before publishing a story and make sure they are 100% write before going ahead to publish, i have watched them twice now and cant see him so the worcester news reporters need too get hard solid facts and not go on what people say either on facebook or twitter as you only get part of the story
I wish people would just be happy and encouraging for Gathan. He's a great singer who works hard at his craft and he's rightfully won his place at Bootcamp where I really hope he does well. Leave him alone and do something more valuable with your time than criticising someone who is doing his best.
