A DETERMINED fund-raiser from Malvern will be hitting the wall to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

On Wednesday, Simeon Foreman will set out on a multi-day, 90-mile coast-to- coast run following the route of Hadrian’s Wall, travelling west from North Shields and ending up at Bowness-on-Solway, Cumbria.

The 38-year-old, of Longridge Road, has been training hard, completing warm-up events including the 40-mile Cotswold Challenge, to give himself the best possible chance of conquering the historic Roman landmark.

Mr Foreman, who will be joined for 36 miles of the challenge by his regular training partner, Andy Dingley, also of Malvern, is hoping to raise £1,000 for Macmillan.

Hilary Al Rasheed, area fund-raising manager for Macmillan, said: “The time and energy that Simeon has put into training for this challenge is quite astounding. It is really uplifting and inspiring to see him give so much of himself to make a difference for the two million people who are living with cancer.”
