Advice on keeping your bike safe and secure
CYCLISTS can get advice on keeping their bikes safe and secure when British Transport Police holds a special cycle surgery at Worcester Foregate Street train station on Friday.
The event, between 5pm and 7pm, will offer commuters the chance to ensure they minimise the risk of their bike being stolen.
Theft of bicycles is an ongoing problem on the railway network and 14 bikes have been stolen from Worcester’s stations so far this year.
Officers will be handing out free security marking devices, crime prevention advice and checking cycle racks are secure.
PC Frank Hedley, of British Transport Police, said: “A difficulty we face is that many people who ride bikes leave them at railway stations for very long periods of time.
“It is, therefore, more important than ever to ensure cycle owners are educated and informed about how best to protect their property from thieves.
“Meanwhile, BTP officers will continue to work closely with West Mercia’s Police’s neighbourhood policing teams to identify offenders and bring them to justice.”

I am quite sure that those who are stealing don't have a large customer base, so there has to be a Mr Medium (not a Mr Big, who lives of someones downfall of losing their bikes)
So lets inform on them if we know who it is who seems to have a reasonable supply of used cycles for sale.

I know what my advice would be, don't lock up your bike at stations in Worcester!
