DESTINATION Worcestershire has organised a Sustainable Tourism Conference in partnership with Worcestershire County Council’s Sustainability Team on Thursday, November 13 at the Ramada Hotel and Resort Kidderminster.
Tourism businesses within the county are invited to find out how to reduce their impact on the environment, as well as learning about the business benefits of going green.
The afternoon conference will include presentations by organisations leading the way in sustainable tourism development nationally, as well as the experience of an accommodation provider who is already committed to green tourism.
There will also be the opportunity for delegates to discuss taking their business forward in a sustainable way, with a variety of exhibitors. Delegates will also receive a free sustainable goodie bag.
Simon Tipple, tourism officer at Destination Worcestershire, said: “Visitors are increasingly looking for establishments that show a commitment to developing their business in a sustainable way on the environment.
“We want to make businesses more aware of the benefits of developing and marketing themselves in this way.”
Anyone interested in attending the conference can contact Simon Tipple for further information and a booking form.
