THE finalists from the Worcestershire heat of an environmental challenge are to attend a regional final this month.
The Universally Challenged event, hosted by Worcestershire County Council’s sustainability team, saw pupils from the Chantry High School, Martley, make their way to the final.
Students won the sustainability and climate change quiz, which consisted of six rounds covering topics such as local and global energy, biodiversity and transport and will now represent Worcestershire on February 10.
The team will battle it out against schools from Warwickshire and Coventry to win the Universally Challenged final.
Universally challenged was open to year eight pupils from across Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Coventry as an extension of the Switch it Off Campaign.
For information about the event, contact the sustainability team at Worcestershire County Council on 01905 766855 or visit worcester shire.gov.uk/sustainability.
