IT'S a little over a year since we launched our very own Facebook page and we now have almost 1,000 friends!

After a slow start in February 2008 we're now accepting up to a dozen new friends every day, and we're fending off all manner of invitations - from food fights to mafia wars.

Our friends can see a regularly-updated list of all our stories - which click through to worcesternews.co.uk - and they can see what's on the front of the latest paper as we try to update our profile picture most weekdays.

Facebookcan also act as a direct way to contact us with stories and tip-offs and we have carried a number of articles on the website and in the print edition of the paper which have come directly from our friends.
