PROFESSIONAL musicians visited pupils at a Worcestershire school to teach them more about their art.
Three performers from the London Mozart Players visited Chantry High School in Martley to teach the youngsters about traditional classic music.
Along with some of the musical pupils, they prepared a piece by Handel, which they then performed to an audience of year seven and eight pupils.
Maria Masters, head of music at the school, said it had been a great experience.
“We had some excellent comments back about the day,” she said.
“The musicians were able to talk in depth about their instruments and they also played some beautiful pieces which really inspired some of the children.
“It is a long way for our pupils to go and see live classical music being played as we are in such a rural area, so to see them playing in front of them was quite a special experience.”
