DIAMOND Bus Company, which operates services in Redditch, Bromsgrove and Droitwich, has proved it’s a wheel winner after receiving national praise.

The company has been shortlisted for three prestigious awards at this year’s Passenger Transport Management Awards ceremony which will be held in London on Friday, June 12.

Diamond Bus Company managing director, Scott Dunn, has been put forward for the Young Passenger Transport Professional of the Year, its marketing manager, John Everill, has been nominated for the Marketing award and commercial manager, Austin Birks, has been shortlisted for the Innovation and New Thinking award.

Speaking at the shortlisting event held in London last week, Austin Birks said he was delighted at the news.

“It is indeed an honour that Diamond Bus Company has been nominated in these categories as it reflects the effort, energy and endeavour the company workforce have applied over the last 14 months since under new ownership.”

Further details of the awards can be obtained from www.ptmawards.co.uk The company had an additional reason to celebrate recently when it announced the award of 11 tendered bus services by Worcestershire County Council.

The services, operating in the Redditch and Droitwich area, started in April and will last for a three-year period.
