Youngsters dig deep as past is brought to life

THE past came to life at a Worcestershire school as part of a week delving into British history.
Pupils at Suckley Primary School took part in a host of activities looking at everything from the Victorians to Anglo-Saxons.
"It was a really enjoyable, informative week," said Sara James, the school's headteacher.
"We visited the Commandery in Worcester and children experienced archaeology first hand with artefacts brought in to school, such as cannonballs from the Civil War and Victorian binoculars.
"County archaeologist Deborah Overton also visited the school and talked to children about the Anglo-Saxons.
"The aim was so get pupils to explore history and how it has had an effect on the world we live in today."
