EVESHAM United continue to clock up the miles in cup competitions with a trip to Dartford in the FA Trophy second qualifying round.

The Robins' journey to Essex comes on the back of FA Cup escapades to Radstock, Moneyfields and AFC Wimbledon in recent weeks.

Manager Paul West knows tomorrow's Ryman Division One South opponents will provide a challenge but he is not concerned about the travelling.

He said: "It's going to be a tough game for us. It's the same level but they have had a good few wins and I won't expect anything other than a hard game.

"If you are serious of playing at the highest level travelling is part and parcel of it."

Evesham are looking to bounce back from a 4-2 defeat at Bromsgrove Rovers in Southern League Division One Midlands, a game which saw both teams end up with nine men. Grant Pinkney also got his marching orders after the final whistle. West, who was also sent to the stands, said: "Overall, the game wasn't as bad as it probably sounded.

"The officials were poor and I felt the referee was out of his depth.

"But we didn't defend well for the first two goals."

West may ring the changes for the Dartford match, knowing that goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan, Simon Fitter and Pinkney face one-match bans next week after the Rovers clash. Steve Hands is definitely out as he starts a three-match ban following his dismissal against Chasetown.
