MAVLERN Town are hoping to make it two league wins in a row for the first time since August when they host Berkhamsted Town.

Paul Molloy's side won 1-0 at Bedworth United last Saturday but have not recorded a Southern League Division One Midlands victory at the Langland Stadium all season.

The manager said: "Back-to-back wins in the league would be nice, we haven't won at home yet. We could do with another three points to help us back up the table.

"It is an important league game and we want to win and get three points."

Malvern's away record is better than their home form after picking up all three of their league triumphs on the road, including two successive victories against Spalding United and Chasetown in August.

Molloy used the mid-week 1-0 Errea Cup defeat at Chasetown to blood a few youngsters and rest the likes of Rik Halion (hamstring).

He said: "We played really well and had five young lads in the starting line-up and they played really well.

"It was a good game but we didn't take our chances. You could tell it was a good game because they (Chasetown) were delighted to win."

And Molloy joked: "We have booked a coach for 1pm and are going to drive around for an hour and go to the ground and treat it as an away game!"

Apart from Halion, the Malvern boss has no further injury concerns after Jamie Hyde recovered from the kncok he took in the chest against Bedworth last Saturday. Centre forward Tom Hobbs is expected to play despite facing a suspension for the following week's trip to Woodford United.
