HEREFORD United have three consecutive Coca-Cola League Two victories in their sights as they travel to high-flying Swindon Town tomorrow.

Graham Turner's side have climbed up to eighth following a 3-1 victory at MK Dons and a 1-0 home win over Accrington Stanley last Saturday.

And they visit the County Ground full of confidence to make it nine points out of nine.

First-team coach John Trewick said: "It was good to get back-to-back wins but it's a tough game against Swindon.

"However, if we can maintain the same form and attitude then we will give a good account of ourselves."

Alan Connell's late goal handed the Bulls all three points against current Conference champions Stanley, while Rob Purdie and Stuart Fleetwood joined Connell on the scoresheet in Milton Keynes.

Trewick said: "Wins breed confidence. They were good performances against MK Dons and Accrington.

"We thoroughly deserved the win and had the lion's share of possession. If we can continue in the same vain, we will be OK."

Swindon have been plunged into turmoil following the departure of management duo Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet to Leeds United.

Captain Ady Williams has taken caretaker charge of the side alongside assistant Barry Hunter, once manager at Rushden and Diamonds.

Trewick, though, knows the current situation can either inspire the Wiltshire side or unsettle them until a permanent appointment is made.

"That can always work two ways," he said. "Sometimes when there are changes teams can get good results or they can go off track. We are hoping things go off track a little bit for them.

"I believe they (Williams and Hunter) have been given six games so they will be looking to pick up as many points as they can to stake a claim for the job."

Hereford make the journey south minus three players with Simon Travis (hamstring), Martyn Giles (head) and Trent McClenahan (knee) all missing the trip through injury.

Giles took a blow to the head in the 1-1 draw against Darlington last month and was due to have a scan this week.

The Bulls have also taken the opportunity to give 20-year-old midfielder Jonathon Wallis some first-team experience by farming him out on a month's loan at Ryman League Division One South side Dover Athletic.

The launch of the book Hereford United: The Wilderness Years takes place at Waterstone's in Commercial Street, Hereford, on Sunday, November 12, from 11am to 12.30pm.
