THE match of the day in the Worcester and District League Sunday Division Four saw Brewers Athletic crush Hylton Road Rovers 7-3 to replace them at the top of the table.

Josh Brunger (3), Shane Wade (2), Darren Lewis and Ben Grazier were on target for Brewers with Victor Barnardo (2) and Adam Haines replying for Rovers.

Elsewhere, Tom Groves scored twice for Pillar of Salt Korono who beat CSSC 3-2.

Clifton Rovers returned to the top of Division Five after Steve Prickett cracked a hat-trick as they hammered Westside 7-2. Alex Horsley and Mark Edwards both fired a brace as GDL Athletic Reserves lost an 11-goal thriller 6-5 at home to Pig & Drum.

In Division Three, Graham Mann bagged two goals for Claines who beat Malvern Victoria 5-3, while Worcester Lynx consolidated second place in Division Two thanks to Dan Gillam notching a double as they crushed Inter Express 5-0.

Malvern Radar maintained their 100 per cent record in Division One after hammering Droitwich Sports 8-2, with Louis Loader hitting a hat-trick.

Leigh Allen scored twice for CMB Sports but they went down 4-3 to Callow End in the Premier Division.

Scott Spragg also netted twice in Pig & Drum’s 2-1 Saturday Division Two victory at Leigh & Bransford Badgers.

The second round of the Worcester Nursing Saturday Junior Cup saw Worcester Raiders sink Worcester Anchors 12-0. Anthony Smith netted four times for the winners with hat-tricks from both Ben Harborne and Steve Jeffries.

Other trebles came from Luke Griffin and Dan Foley of The Railway Train who thumped Perrywood 8-2 and Daniel Harding-Hall in Arrow 2000’s 9-1 demolition of Foregate.

In the Nursing Sunday Junior Cup, George Martin and Richard Smith both found the net four times for Heenans who thrashed Hallow Village 11-1, while Dan Phillips fired a treble in New Barbourne’s 5-1 victory over St John’s.

Lee Seldon and Dean McCormack both bagged a brace as Arrow 2000 hammered Droitwich Spa Eagles 9-1. Other doubles came from Matt Andrews, of Goodrest Juniors, who beat Wychbold RBL 5-2 and Jon Mann as Coppertops were 4-1 winners at Kempsey.

Phil Jenkins hit a treble and Nathan Grogan a double as Worcester Saints triumphed 7-1 over Trinity Sports in the Nursing Minor Cup.

Andy James cracked a hat-trick for Nunnery Wood who defeated Worcester City Wanderers 3-1 and there was a brace for Harding-Hall as Oak Apple won 3-1 at Powick Reserves.

An 11-goal epic at Droitwich RBL saw the home team beat Hornets Reserves 6-5 after extra-time, Steve Lyons bagging two for Droitwich, Jordan Jenkins netting a hat-trick for Hornets.

Blackpole went through on penalties after a 5-5 extra-time draw at Hornets, Rob Burston scoring twice.
