Worcester Warriors to field mix of youth and experience against Scarlets

WORCESTER Warriors name a team with a blend of youth and experience for the opening LV= Cup fixture with Scarlets at Sixways Stadium tomorrow (3pm).

Wing Nikki Walker will make his comeback from injury, while Jon Clarke also returns in the centre alongside Alex Grove. Jonny Arr and Joe Carlisle will again combine at half-back.

Dean Schofield captains the team from the second row where he is paired with Chris Jones and George Porter and James Currie are in the front row.

New recruit Richard de Carpentier is in the back row for his senior Warriors debut after he signed a contract. Jake Abbott also features with Blair Cowan at number eight.

Warriors: Pennell; Walker, Grove, Clarke, Short; Carlisle, Arr; Porter, Shervington, Currie, Schofield, Chris Jones, de Carpentier, Abbott, Cowan. Replacements: Hayes, Ceri Jones, O’Donnell, Percival, Best, Frost, Goode, Howard.
