DIRECTOR of basketball Paul James says this week’s break from British Basketball League action will be like a pre-season for Worcester Wolves.

Wolves defeated Cheshire Jets 97-84 at the University of Worcester last Saturday but do not play again until they visit London Lions on Friday, November 23.

Between now and then James will have all of his players together for the first time this season, with point guard Sherrad Prezzie-Blue expected to arrive in the UK any day.

The squad had little time to gel over the summer due to players arriving at different times so James believes the break has come at the right moment.

“I think it has because it’s almost like we can go back to pre-season,” he said.

“We’ll have everybody together, including Sherrad, and it’s almost like restarting again and we’ll forget about the first third of the campaign.

“We will put some goals and targets in there and having everybody working together and playing in their natural positions is certainly going to help us.”
