THERE was a shock result in the Worcester Sunday League Division Three when leaders Worcester Raiders crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Malvern Victoria.

Steve Nolan and Andy Lancett were on target for Victoria who also ended Raiders’ 100 per cent record.

The Bell are the new leaders after crushing GDL Athletic 6-1 with Damon Groves and Joe Haskell both cracking hat-tricks.

Elsewhere, Stuart Greaves and Rob Hendrie both scored twice for the University of Worcester as they hammered Nunnery Wood 7-0, as did Aaron Davies and Darren Palmer of VBL Sports in the 6-3 success over Cutnall Green, while Graham Mann scored both goals for Claines as they drew 2-2 with Whitehall.

After being deposed from the top of Division Four last week, Hylton Road Rovers returned to winning ways with Greg Lord netting four times in their 11-1 demolition of Trinity Sports.

Brewers Athletic still lead the table, Shane Wade bagging two as they thumped Droitwich RBL 5-1.

Wes Joyce hit a hat-trick for Cavalier Sports, who drew 3-3 with CSSC and there was a brace each for Brad Smith and Lloyd Jones as Worcester City Wanderers won 5-2 at Droitwich Spa Eagles Reserves.

Powick thrashed Malvern Rangers VFC 9-0, Stuart Harvey notching a hat-trick with both 17-year-old Sam Rathbone and Sean Smith recording doubles.

In Division Five, an eleven-goal thriller at Leigh and Bransford Badgers saw visitors Garibaldi triumph 6-5, Lewis Baker fired a treble and Terry Gorman a double for Garibaldi, Nick Medakovic (3) and Jack Pearson (2) on the scoresheet for Badgers.

Monirul Islam grabbed a treble for Pig and Drum, who beat FC Five Fathers 6-2.

Ryan Homer was another hat-trick man as Westside won 5-3 against Worcester Rileys.

Premier Division leaders WCT Raiders continue to sweep all opposition aside, Jamie Insall and Brad Birch both bagging a brace in their 6-2 victory at Perrywood.

Callow End secured an impressive 3-3 draw with Arrow 2000, Rob Sinclair scoring twice for Callow End.

Heenans continue to lead Division One on goal difference after a narrow 2-1 success at Hallow Village.

Malvern Radar are hot on their heels after Louis Loader converted a late penalty to defeat local rivals Colwall St James 3-2.

In Division Two, there was a brace each for Phil Jenkins of Worcester Saints who drew 2-2 with Anchor Falcons and Tom Baker of leaders Oak Apple, 2-1 winners at West Midland.

Arrow 2000 lead the Saturday Division One table by one point from Worcester Raiders after a 3-2 success at the University, despite only being able to field nine players. Raiders had a comfortable 6-1 win against The Red Lion with Mike Jeffries scoring twice. Rathbone notched a hat-trick in Powick’s 4-1 home win over Hallow.

In Division Two, Katy O’Ryans led Leigh and Bransford Badgers 8-0 after 80 minutes, Andy Ellis and Dan Hopkins both netting twice.

Badgers then scored four times in the last 10 minutes, Joe Turner and Ashley Jones bagging doubles in a final 8-4 scoreline.
