JUST 24 hours after facing a winding up order, Hereford United are set for an Edgar Street sell-out in the FA Cup against Cheltenham Town tonight (7.45).

The Bulls were yesterday due in court over an unpaid tax bill with HM Revenues and Customs, which at one stage stood at £118,000.

However, the hearing did not take place as the Bulls have already paid off a significant amount of the debt through profits from their FA Cup run and around £40,000 raised by supporters.

They have also agreed the final payment of £33,000 in PAYE, which will be settled by the end of the year and paid out of the £68,000 in television money from the FA Cup 1-1 second round draw at Cheltenham.

Tonight’s replay, expected to draw a 5,300-capacity crowd, will generate even more cash, as well as carrying £27,000 in prize money and a third round date against Premier League Everton.

Chairman David Keyte said: “Down to the FA Cup run and the fund-rasing by the supporters, it’s been an amazing turnaround.”

With so much riding on tonight’s encounter, manager Martin Foyle is hoping to call on the same squad that won 2-0 at Barrow in the Blue Square Bet Premier last Friday.

Striker Ryan Bowman, who scored his 11th goal of the campaign in the Holker Street triumph, came through the game unscathed.

Winger Marley Watkins could also be fit to play a part following a spell on the sidelines with a groin injury.

Cheltenham overturned a two-goal deficit at Northampton last Saturday to win 3-2 and keep themselves in the League Two automatic promotion places.
