LOCK Dean Schofield returns to captain Worcester Warriors as they face Perpignan in the Amlin Challenge Cup at the Stade Aime Giral tomorrow (8pm GMT).

Schofield, who previously enjoyed a successful playing spell in France with Toulon before his move to Sixways, is one of four changes to the starting line-up from the team defeated Perpignan 22-21 on home soil last week.

Errie Claassens is selected at full-back, while Jon Clarke will team up with Alex Grove in midfield. Andy Short is also named onto the wing for the game in the south of France.

Four changes on the bench see returns for prop George Porter and lock Craig Gillies in the forwards. Ben Howard is called-up and Danny Gray could make his first appearance of the season as a replacement.

Head coach Richard Hill said: "The players are on a roll at the moment. We have momentum and that is crucial for us.

"There is no reason after the hard work of beating Perpignan at Sixways to go to France with half a team. We are going full out and we want to get into the quarter-finals of the Amlin Challenge Cup.

"We wanted to play last week, before the rain came down before kick-off, while the French play a very conservative game away from home and don't take too many risks.

"But at home they will play and we expect to see a very different side to them. Perpignan will keep the ball in hand and we want to do the same so it will make for a cracking game of rugby."
