Worcester Warriors v Bizkaia Gernika
This live event has finished
- WELCOME to a snowy Sixways for Warriors' Amlin Challenge Cup dead-rubber with Spannish minnows Bizkaia Gernika.
- With Perpignan gaining a bonus-point win over Rovigo on Thursday night, Worcester are now unable to progress from their pool.
- Head coach Richard Hill has named an unchanged squad from the side that thrashed Rovigo in Italy last weekend.
FINAL SCORE: Warriors round off their European matches with an 11-try success, but it's to no avail as they still finish second to Perpignan, who had wrapped up the qualifying spot on Thursday night.
Thanks for following the blog and join me next weekend for the LV= Cup trip to London Irish.
TRY Warriors! With the clock dead, Ollie Frost takes a quick tap penalty and Gernika are all over the place allowing Josh Drauniniu to speed in under the posts for his second score, which Gray converts.
Warriors 71-19 Gernika
Lengthy delay while Chris Jones receives treatment on the pitch. Just getting back to his feet now.
TRY Warriors! Worcester go the length of the field to score their 10th and the best of the bunch so far. Warriors turn over the ball on their own line, Crtaig Gillies breaks out and finds Gray, who finds Jon Clarke, who moves it on to Ben Howard and there's no stopping him as he scorches past several players from half-way to touch down under the posts. Gray adds the simple kick.
Warriors 64-19 Gernika
Line-out to Gernika in the Warriors 22 after Drauniniu was hit for holding on and the penalty was moved on 10m as Ollie Frost threw the ball away. Chris Jones steals the throw though.
TRY Warriors! Aleki Lutui batters over from close range for Warriors' ninth try.
Gray adds the conversion.
Warriors 57-19 Gernika
Warriors pressing again, Gernika infringing again...
TRY Warriors! Replacement Aleki Lutui punches a whole in the Gernika defence, which allows Gray to send Walker over in the corner. Gray pulls his conversion wide of the posts.
Warriors 50-19 Gernika
Errie Claassens gets back to ground the ball and keep gernika out, but the French ref brings play back for a penalty that Cussack dispatches.
Warriors 45-19 Gernika
TRY Warriors! Blair Cowan gets on the end of the catch-and-drive to ground the ball.
Danny Gray sends the conversion over via the post.
Warriors 45-16 Gernika
Gernika looking to play their way out of trouble from behind their own line. That tactic is not going to end well for the visitors. Ball is passed into touch 5m out this time...
A big scrum won a penalty, which was scrummed again, but Blair Cowan was turned over as he tried to jump over a ruck and score. Gernika clear their lines.
Scrum 5 to Warriors as a Gernika player carries the ball over and tocuhes back after Jon Clarke's grubber.
Danny gray gets the second-half under way.
Forget the freezing press bench, @briandick and I have headed for the south stand box for the second-half! http://t.co/qAoPWzxM— @tomguestWN 19 January 2013
Warriors have reacked up six tries in a one-sided first-half, but the plucky Spaniards have put 16 points on the board.
Warriors 38-16 Gernika
As Gernika debate whether to kick a penalty for a Warriors offisde to touch or for goal, the clock ticks onto 40:00 and they have no choice.

Warriors 38-16 Gernika
TRY Warriors! Worcester turn over a Gernika scrum and Danny gray steps nicely through the defence to dive over beneath the posts to give himself a simple conversion.

Not straight from Ollie Hayes, but a big shunt on the scrum wins a penalty for Warriors and Gray nudges it to the corner again.
Gernika hit for offside in their 22, so Gray knocks the ball to touch again.
TRY Warriors! Warriors work a nice move off a scrum and fire the ball wide where Drauniniu makes a break before finding Gray, who sends Claassens over.
Gray slots a superb conversion from the touchline.

Gernika are struggling to keep Warriors out here and they are conceding penalty after penalty in their own 22.
Cusack tucks the ball inside the left-hand post.
Warriors 19-13 Gernika
A silly penalty from Rob O'Donnell at the re-start gives Gernika the chance to pull back three points.
TRY Warriors! With the ref playing penalty advantage as Gernika drag Worcester's maul down, Nikki Walker runs a fine line to burst onto Gray's pass and speeds past the defence to touch down.
Gray swings the ball between the posts too.
Warriors 19-10 Gernika
Warriors have a line-out in the Gernika 22 after a good touch-finder from Danny Gray.
Former Munster player Cusack lands his long-range penalty.
Warriors 12-10 Gernika
It was a well-taken try from the Spaniards (created by an Irishman and scored by an Argentine), proving they will put up plenty of fight this afternoon.
They have a shot at goal too now, as Warriors are hit for not releasing.
TRY Gernika! The visitors regain the re-start unchallenged and go through a few phases before fly-half Declan Cusack lofts a nice kick over the top which left winger Santiago Salas gets too before Claassens and escapes the full-back's clutches to race over. Cusack adds a fine conversion too.
Warriors 12-7 Gernika
TRY Warriors! The hosts turn over a Gernika scrum and Danny Gray finds Jon Clarke who delays his pass to send Drauniniu away again, he beats the full-back and passes inside to Errie Claassens, who coasts over. Gray misses the simple conversion.
Warriors 12-0 Gernika
Scrum to Gernika 30m out after Errie Claassens off-load to Jake Abbott was marginally forward.
Nice strike from out wide by fly-half Danny Gray to add the conversion.
Warriors 7-0 Gernika
TRY Warriors! An impudent outside of the boot grubber kick from Sam Betty allows Josh Drauniniu to continue his purple patch.
As you'd expect, Warriors are making all the running.
