Amari Morgan-Smith arrives at Kidderminster Harriers on loan
KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have bolstered their forward line with the loan signings of Amari Morgan-Smith and Nat Jarvis.
Morgan-Smith has arrived at Aggborough from Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Macclesfield Town for an initial month.
Cardiff City striker Jarvis, 21, who scored six goals for Newport County in a temporary spell last season, will stay at Harriers until the end of the campaign.
A powerful 6ft striker who played for England 'C', Wolverhampton-born Morgan-Smith, 23, began at Wolves before joining Stockport County and then Ilkeston Town.
He helped the Robins to promotion to Conference North with 34 goals and then enjoyed two seasons with Luton Town, making the play-offs both times as he scored 14 times in the league.
But, after joining Macclesfield, Morgan-Smith has struggled to dislodge former Harriers striker Matthew Barnes-Homer, scoring two goals when given the chance.
Harriers, who sold Jamille Matt for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £300,000 to Fleetwood earlier this month, completed the signing of the speedy Jarvis this evening after gaining international clearance.
The two new loan additions will compete for forward places with Anthony Malbon, Nathan Blissett and Ryan Rowe.
Meanwhile, it is believed Kidderminster had bids rejected for Tamworth's 25-year-old top-scorer Adam Cunnington and decided not to up their offer.
Hereford United report they received inquiries from Harriers and Wrexham for their highly-rated forward Ryan Bowman, 21, who is out of contract at the end of the season, but did not want to sell to rival clubs.
