SIMON Fitter’s first-half penalty miss proved costly as Evesham United were held to a 1-1 draw by lowly Abingdon United at a windswept Spiers and Hartwell Jubilee Stadium.
The midfielder wasted the opportunity from 12 yards on 16 minutes when his spot-kick hit the bar, after Carl Brown was fouled in the box.
United, however, had better luck three minutes before half-time when a pass from the left found Brown who turned his marker before finding the bottom corner.
However, Abingdon equalised from the spot in the 67th minute through Aaron Woodley.
Kidderminster Harriers crashed out of the Worcestershire FA Senior Cup with a 2-1 semi-final defeat to Redditch United.
Harriers took a second-half lead via an own goal from Reds keeper Bradley Catlow but Redditch secured victory through late Leavi Oshungbure and sub Jermain Hylton strikes.
