RATHER than worrying about missing his star Argentinean signings when they are on international duty in the early part of next season Richard Hill is focusing on the impact they will have when they arrive.

Pumas trio Leo Senatore, Agustin Creevy and Ignacio Mieres are all likely to be involved in the Rugby Championship, which will keep them away from Sixways until the middle part of October.

However, head coach Hill believes Warriors will be a fearsome prospect with the talented trio on board – especially when Worcester’s Aviva Premiership rivals are missing players to the Six Nations.

Hill said: “We have taken the Rugby Championship into account with these signings and they will miss a few games at the start of the season. They will return in October time and add top quality to the side when they come in - it is all about strengthening the squad.

“It will be a fact of life that as we improve the squad and get better international players here, we will be like Leicester and other clubs, who do lose players during international periods.

“We won’t miss them during the Six Nations though, so we will be full-strength when other teams are missing players.”

Hill added: “I do like the Argentinean mentality – their passion for the sport and loyalty is absolutely brilliant.

“All the Argentinean players I have come across during my career have been that way. They play with a huge amount of passion and they will dedicate themselves 100 per cent to the club.

“The phrase most Argentineans use is ‘you play like a professional, but with the heart of an amateur’. That’s what it’s about and that’s what is missing from some players today – they play the game, they get paid for it and that’s pretty much the long and short of it.”
