STRIKER Amari Morgan-Smith is ready to put a frustrating time at Macclesfield Town behind him and help secure a play-off place for Kidderminster Harriers.

The 23-year-old arrived at Aggborough on a month’s loan from Harriers’ Blue Square Bet Premier rivals on transfer deadline day last week.

Although only a short-term arrangement, there is the potential for Morgan-Smith to extend his stay if he proves a hit for Steve Burr’s side.

Having only managed two goals for the Silkmen and appearing predominantly as a substitute, Morgan-Smith is keen to find some form, starting against Cambridge United at Aggborough today (3pm).

“It has been a bit frustrating at Macclesfield because I’ve not been playing as much as I like,” he said.

“There were a few clubs who were interested in me but when I knew Harriers wanted to take me I was very happy.

“I know Steve Burr well and the travelling would also be a lot easier from Wolverhampton.

“If the manager picks me then I want to do my best for Harriers and hopefully get some goals.

“A couple of the lads at the club told me Harriers are just quietly getting on with their business and pushing for promotion, so I hope I can help them either win the league or go up through the play-offs.”
