Bulls boss Martin Foyle frustrated by Wrexham defeat
5:31pm Wednesday 13th February 2013 in Sport
FRUSTRATED manager Martin Foyle reckons Hereford United deserved better from their 1-0 defeat at home to Wrexham.
A deflected Jay Harris free-kick 13 minutes before half-time decided a poor Blue Square Bet Premier clash at Edgar Street.
It ended the Bulls’ unbeaten start to 2013 but still leaves them without a win on home soil in more than three months.
“I’m frustrated here, really really frustrated,” Foyle said. “You look at the second-half and they haven’t had a shot.
“The effort is there but the goal we have given away was a silly free-kick by Marley Watkins on the edge of the box which gave them a life line.
“You can’t tell me they were better than us but they’ve got experience.”
Foyle also criticised the Edgar Street pitch and bemoaned the lack of training facilities available.
“For some reason it’s not clicking here, it’s not attractive to watch, I hate watching it to be honest,” he added.
“I can’t keep making excuses for this place. I haven’t even got a training ground. I’m training on mud and playing on mud.
“From a manager’s point of view the training facilities are next to nothing which is not working. I need some decent conditions but that comes at a cost.
“I understand the club’s situation at the moment but I’ve only used the training ground five times this year and that’s worrying.”
